In early June, Josh Shores and I had the privilege to attend “Inspiration Paris”, a celebration in honor of L’Oreal Professionnel’s one hundred years in the hairdressing business. Five thousand hairstylists gathered in the ‘City of Lights’ to be inspired by master classes and hair shows led by top international industry artists.

The master classes were held in the Jardin des Tuileries, the largest and oldest French-style garden in Paris adorned with beautiful fountains and statues stretching from the famous Louvre art museum to the Place de la Concorde. Our education focused on fashion, cutting and styling, color innovation, and salon business. The hair shows were at Le Zenith, a popular concert venue where Parisians catch the latest in modern music.

We were dazzled by the exceptional talent and spectacular creations by Alexandre de Paris, Aldo Coppola, Angelo Seminara for Trevor Sorbie, Laurent Decreton, Christophe Gaillet, Laetitia Guenaou, and Eric Zemmour. On our final evening, we enjoyed a gala dinner and dancing event at the Grand Palais, a fantastic glass exhibition hall with a domed roof built for the Paris Exhibition of 1900. Definitely a most impressive work of architecture!

Thank you, L’Oreal and Maxine, for a wonderful experience, and making beautiful memories I will forever hold dear in my heart.

Merci beaucoup!
