This past Thursday evening, the salon was even more abuzz than usual. We were elated to be a part of (and the setting for!) a celebration of Chicago's Best in Beauty, hosted by The Beauty Girl (a.k.a. the super-fab Nicole Pearl). We were joined by the best of the best (see below) and an amaaazing crowd of lovely guests, excited for an evening of cocktails, cupcakes, and complimentary beauty treatments.

Included in the lineup of beauty experts were several members of Team Maxine! Stylists spent the evening creating voluminous blowouts and sweeping updos, like the one seen on the right—click here for additional views! All the while, esthetician extraordinaire Jaime Lewis did her signature quick-and-painless eyebrow waxes (check out our last blog post about Jaime).

Votre Vu

The girls from Glo Airbrush Tan turned a night at the salon into a week in St. Tropez! Their custom airbrushing service creates a look that is both natural-looking and tailored to your skin—lovely, right? After that, guests stopped by the Votre Vu area to learn more about their luxurious line of products. Think botanically-driven crèmes and masques developed for the last 80 years in a lab outside Paris (but at a fraction of the cost you'd expect). 

Guests were able to sample these products and even take home a little piece of Votre Vu, plus their wonder-drink: SnapDragon Beauty Beverage. In the words of their representative, the drink is an embodiment of Votre Vu's concept of 'beauty from the inside out,' and is as delicious in your evening cocktail as it is revitalizing the next morning!

Heavenly cupcakes from Lovely and micro-miracles from C. I. Luxury MedSpa rounded out the evening, an evening we truly did not want to end! A huge thank-you to everyone who attended, all of the wonderful sponsors, and—of course—Nicole Pearl, without whom this lovely event never would have happened. Thank you!
