Summertime is here at last! We're thinking printed maxi, absurdly large sun hat, perhaps a splurge-worthy swimsuit—but the perfect summer accessory to go with the ensemble we just described? An immaculate, pain-free bikini wax!
Just in time for the summer bikini rush, Jaime's just started working with some amazing new products by glo. "I'm really excited about working with them!" says Jaime, "The wax itself and the products I'll be using for before and after the wax are great—very gentle, especially for ingrowns."
The LycoJet-Lavender Wax contains chamomile and lavender to soothe and condition the skin, while the Active Gold Wax has—wait for it—the finest grade of gold purified mica platelets. Nothing but the finest for our clients! Along with a pre-wax regimen to prep the skin, we're also using glo's after-wax spray, Ingrown X-It Solution.
According to Jaime, this product does wonders when it comes to preventing bumps and ingrowns: "Their tonic has a combination of salicylic acid and lactic acid that really works." It smells great, feels great (just in case you're not feeling like an alcohol burn that day!), and, best of all, it comes as a spray, so it's super fast and easy to apply. Did we mention we'll also be carrying it as a retail product? Oh, silly us.
"I need my toys."Not what you were expecting, right? Well, squeeze toys and stress balls are just one of Jaime's many strategies to create a pain-free wax that leaves her clients saying, "It's over already?" Squeeze-able toys are the perfect way to exert that mid-wax death grip—but most of the time, you'll lose yourself in the conversation. "We have fun in there!" says Jaime. "I pride myself on being able to transform a situation that most people assume will be uncomfortable or scary." You'll leave the room with a smile on your face (not to mention the cleanest bikini in town!). |
"I'm never going to cheat on you again!"Whether they're on vacation or simply can't make it to the Gold Coast, every now and then a client will need to see a new waxer. And yet, each time they come back to Jaime with the same response: "I'm never going to cheat on you again!" How does she do it? She keeps it quick. 15 minutes for a Brazilian is pretty amazing, but 15 minutes for a pristine, Jaime-style Brazilian, complete with stellar advice and a few laughs? There are no words. |
"Could you squeeze in a quick...?"With all this below-the-belt talk, we mustn't forget that Jaime is also a pro when it comes to matters above the waist. "When clients are in for a bikini wax," says Jaime, "I'm always happy to squeeze in a quick eyebrow or lip—whatever they need!" Another waxing service made for summer? The underarms. It might sound unpleasant, but the cumulative effects and the lasting results (up to 5 weeks!) will make all those summer tanks and sleeveless dresses that much more enjoyable. |
