One of the only four L'Oreal Professionnel Haircolor Centers in the United States recently opened at Maxine, the 9,000-square-foot Gold Coast hair salon. The state-of-the-art Center takes up the entire second floor, and the experience is more akin to an interactive cosmetics counter han the traditional drill (i.e., the stylist disappears to the back room and returns to slater your hair with unknown goo).  Instead, clients can review hundreds of swatches, have in depth consultations with their colorists and sit at a bar to watch the potions being concocted. In September, Maxine will take things a step further with teh opening of a Kerastase Treatment Institute (Kerastase is a luxury professional hair care line owned by L'Oreal). There, clients will meet with a technician and receive intensive, customized hair and scalp treatments in a salon-within-a-salon setting.  There's even a computerized diagnostic camera that will help analyze your hair.  712 N.
