A Fave Product at Maxine Salon Is a Powerhouse in a Can

While I might not have the guts to chop off my locks, I envy this low-maintenance yet highly styled coif created by Amy Abramite, Creative Director at Maxine Salon in River North.

To get the look on her client (Stacey Sirow), Abramite used two products by Kérastase: a blow-dry gel called Forme Fatale ($35) to mold the shape and Powder Bluff ($36), a dry shampoo and finishing spray to hold the style—my personal favorite.

I love a good dry shampoo, so I’m crazy about Powder Bluff because it does double-duty. First, by absorbing oil to revive hair and make your blowout last longer. Second, by adding body and texture so waves stay intact and hair doesn’t fall flat. It’s a little powerhouse in a can.
