Head-Turning Hair
The Windy City calls for a blow-out that can withstand that infamous climate. Their secret to stay-put strands? Products with staying power, plus a little extra elbow grease. "Start by spritzing a texturizing spray onto damp hair to add body, then use a medium-size round brush to dry it in 1-inch sections," says Amy Abramite, creative director at Chicago's luxe Maxine salon. Then, back-comb your roots from hairline to crown with a rattail comb and clamp down on the teased areas with a flat iron. "The heat from the straightener swells these spots, giving them volume and structure," she says. Finish by brushing your hair smooth and using a stron-hold hairspray to secure the style.
