The "Tuscan Sunned" Hair-Color Trend Has Summer Written All Over It
Summer is officially making its long-awaited return, and if you're looking to complement this warmer weather with a hair color that'll make people think you've spent the last two weeks sitting beachside, then you might want to consider hopping on the "Tuscan sunned" hair-color trend. Much like the colors that were on trend around this time last year, this a soft, natural-looking hue that's an easy one to maintain.
Whether you know it or not, you've probably already seen the "Tuscan sunned" hair color all over your Instagram feed and in real life, since according to Karissa Schaudt, a colorist at Maxine Salon in Chicago, the look is very similar to blond balayage. "Tuscan sunned looks like it sounds," she told POPSUGAR. "It's a blend of warm golden and yellow undertones. The thick balayage pieces look radiant paired on wavy to curly to hair."
Schaudt says that the "Tuscan sunned" color looks best on people with curly and wavy hair since "it positively accentuates the natural-hair texture," though that isn't to say that you can't also enjoy the color if your hair is in the straighter, type-1 family. If you're hoping to try the color out on curly or wavy hair, Schaudt recommends asking your colorist for full balayage with chunky pieces so they don't get lost in the curls.
